Brenton Pipes

Brenton Manifold

The Brenton® Underfloor Heating Manifold is manufactured from premium-quality brass and finished with a durable nickel-plated coating for enhanced corrosion resistance, strength and long-term reliability. Brenton 2 Port Zone Valve

 2 Port Zone Valves provide reliable and efficient control of water flow within heating and underfloor heating systems. Designed to open and close individual heating zones automatically, they allow the system to deliver heat only where it is required, helping to improve comfort and energy efficiency.

The valve is operated by an electric actuator and works alongside room thermostats and wiring centres to provide accurate zone control. When a thermostat calls for heat, the Brenton® 2 Port Zone Valve opens to allow heated water to circulate through the selected area. Once the required temperature is reached, the valve closes to prevent unnecessary heat flow.

It is particularly suitable for renovation and refurbishment projects where minimising the overall increase in floor height is essential.

Manufactured from high-density expanded polystyrene, the board provides excellent insulation beneath the heating pipework, helping to reduce downward heat loss and direct more warmth toward the finished floor surface. The foil-facing layer supports improved lateral heat distribution, helping heat spread more evenly across the floor and reducing the risk of noticeable hot or cold areas.

Pre-routed channels securely accommodate the underfloor heating pipework and help installers maintain accurate, consistent pipe spacing throughout the system. This prepared layout simplifies installation, reduces on-site preparation and allows the pipework to be fitted neatly and efficiently.

Brenton® XPS Foil Overlay Boards

The Brenton® XPS Foil-Faced Overlay Board is a high-performance, low-profile solution designed for installing wet underfloor heating over existing solid or timber subfloors. Its lightweight yet durable construction makes it particularly suitable for renovation, refurbishment and new-build projects where floor height, installation speed and thermal performance are important considerations.

Each board measures 1,200mm × 600mm × 20mm, providing approximately 0.72m² of floor coverage. The accurately routed channels are designed to accommodate 16mm underfloor heating pipework at 150mm centres, helping installers maintain consistent pipe spacing and achieve balanced heat distribution throughout the heated area. Approximately 1.39 boards are required per square metre, excluding cutting waste.

Manufactured from high-density extruded polystyrene, the Brenton® board provides excellent resistance to compression and moisture while creating an insulating layer beneath the heating pipework. The aluminium foil facing helps transfer heat laterally across the board, reducing temperature variations and supporting more even warmth across the finished floor surface.

With the pipework fully recessed into the pre-routed channels, the underfloor heating layer maintains a board height of just 20mm before the final floor preparation and covering are installed. Positioning the pipe close to the finished floor also supports faster response times compared with traditional systems where the pipework is buried within a thick screed layer.

The Brenton® XPS Foil-Faced Overlay Board is suitable for use with modern boilers, heat pumps and other low-temperature heat sources. It can support tiles, engineered wood, laminate, vinyl and carpet when the appropriate load-distribution layer, preparation materials and installation method are used.

Brenton® Cement-Coated XPS Overlay Boards

The Brenton® Cement-Coated XPS Overlay Board is a strong, low-profile solution for installing wet underfloor heating over suitable solid or timber subfloors. Combining an insulating XPS core with a durable cement-coated surface, the board is designed for renovation, refurbishment and new-build projects where minimal floor build-up and efficient heat delivery are required.

Each board measures 1,200mm × 600mm × 20mm, covering approximately 0.72m² of floor area. This means approximately 1.39 boards are required per square metre, before allowing for cuts and installation waste. The pre-routed channels accommodate 16mm underfloor heating pipe at 150mm centres, supporting consistent pipe spacing and balanced heat distribution.

The high-density extruded polystyrene core provides a lightweight insulating layer beneath the pipework, helping to reduce downward heat loss and direct more heat toward the room above. XPS also offers good resistance to moisture and compression, making it suitable for use within correctly designed floor constructions.

The cement-coated surface increases the board’s strength and durability while providing a secure base for the appropriate adhesives, levelling compounds and load-distribution materials. Subject to the project specification and flooring manufacturer’s instructions, suitable tiles or engineered timber flooring may be installed over the prepared board without requiring a separate heavy screed layer.

Brenton® 22mm Structural Chipboard Overlay Boards

Brenton® 22mm Structural Chipboard Overlay Panels provide a strong, load-bearing solution for incorporating wet underfloor heating into suspended timber floors and other suitable floor constructions. Combining structural floor support with accurately routed pipe channels, the panels allow the underfloor heating system and the floor deck to be installed as one integrated solution.

The 22mm structural panel profile is designed to provide a stable walking surface while accommodating 16mm underfloor heating pipework within the pre-routed channels. This reduces the need for a separate overlay system and helps minimise additional floor build-up compared with installing heating boards above a conventional chipboard deck.

The accurately formed channels securely hold the pipework in position and help installers create a neat, consistent pipe layout across the heated area. Routed return sections allow the pipe to change direction smoothly, supporting efficient installation and helping maintain the correct bending radius.

Brenton® Structural Chipboard Overlay Panels are particularly suitable for installation directly over timber joists, battens or appropriately prepared suspended floor structures. Once correctly fixed, the panels form a durable structural deck capable of supporting normal domestic and commercial floor loads, subject to the joist spacing, fixing pattern and overall floor design.

Positioning the 16mm heating pipe close to the finished floor surface supports efficient heat transfer and faster system response than traditional installations where pipework is buried within a thick screed. Aluminium heat-diffusion plates or foil components may also be used where specified to help spread heat more evenly across the panel surface and reduce temperature variations.

Brenton® 6mm Cement Fibre Board

The Brenton® 6mm Cement Fibre Board is a high-performance tile backer board designed to provide a strong, stable and moisture-resistant surface for floor finishes installed over underfloor heating systems. Suitable for both residential and commercial applications, it enhances the durability of the floor while helping to create the ideal base for ceramic and porcelain tiles.

The board is installed directly over compatible Brenton® overlay underfloor heating systems, such as EPS, XPS foil-faced and structural chipboard systems, using the appropriate adhesive and mechanical fixings where required. Its rigid cement fibre construction helps distribute loads evenly across the floor while reducing movement in the subfloor, creating a secure and reliable surface for the final floor covering.

Designed with excellent dimensional stability and moisture resistance, the Brenton® 6mm Cement Fibre Board performs exceptionally well in kitchens, bathrooms and other areas exposed to humidity.
